♥ HIV & CBC test

update : wilayah persekutuan kuala lumpur and putrajaya valid hiv test 6 bulan dari tarikh ujian saringan di buat, state lain do check, source : elfazira first thing wat apt, call kk, tak perlu bawa apa apa docs, cuma bawa ic sahaja untuk register, borang ada disediakan di kk, bayaran ialah myr1 sahaja, thalasemia test tak wajib, terpulang masing2, lebih baik buat, untuk kepastian, tapi thalasemia test cuma available kat gh, klinik kesihatan cuma cbc test, kalau unusual count baru dia refer to gh.. cbc test u need to check with the misi and doc kat kk, masa register kat kaunter make sure u highlight to them u nak buat hiv test + cbc test for thalasemia, then after hiv test lepas dia bg result, tell them again u nak buat cbc test and they will advise u accordingly, insist if possible sebab kdg2 yg entertain u org lain2.. kene pandai layan diri sendiri uruskan sume, kalau kene bg borang kat lain2 bilik pegi je bagi, kalau tunggu misi layan mmg takdelah cos they are all too busy..

contoh soalan on hiv ada kat bawah, its just a very general question, kalau salah dia takde la tak bagi test cuma cam tak best kan kalau salah? hehe.. pastu sometimes as per my friend experience they wont discuss with u the outcome of the test, whether 1 line 2 line, reactive non reactive ke kan, jangan risau, kalau dia bagi envelope suh korang bg kat pej agama itu maksudnya korang takde hiv okeh? jangan nak saiko sangat.. kitorang pun mcm saiko gak even depan mata 1 line n tau takde hiv, biasa lah tu kan? hehe.. okay thats all u all.. harap membantu la ye?

yesterday i woke up and check jam, sudah jam 8.02 pagi lah, immediately grab my hp and dial nombor talipon klinik kesihatan setapak, so i asked them if i wanna do hiv test whether i need to do apt, they said yes, so cepat2 i gave details, mine and adlie and she ask when i wanna come, she said today? hah kalau today mmg niat kitorang dah tu, so the time is from 2-4pm, yay! sms adlie bgtau apt dah dapat.. my second time pegi kk setapak, my first is in 2006 kot, when i was not well and cannot attend the final exam, so kene amik mc kerajaan, either gh or kk, so went to kk, then later i was given a referal exam.. ;)

the klinik

saya mmg excited semalam sebab suka darah darah ni, previously 2x admitted so im looking forward for a blood scene.. hehe..

the borangs

adlie pick me up at 130pm, 15 minutes dah sampai sana and queue.. boleh queue tetengah panas, terpaksa la kan.. pastu amik nombor, then bgtau nak buat hiv test, the counter give us form to fill in, we fill up kat pharmacy counter since the place is soo crowded.. then pass the form to the counter and they call for for payment sebanyak myr1 then they ask us to go straight to bilik 8, tips : u dont have to wait for ur number to be called, pass the form back to them, xpyh line up, wat mcm klinik sendiri, and once they settle with us the payment we can just go straight for testing.. so terus we passed the form kat bilik test and we waited there for a while since they need to settle few regular patient.. tak lama semakin ada couple dtg buat hiv juga.. masa lihat buku apt ramai juga, ada la 10 org kot wat apt.. ke mmg quota, nama kitorang cam num 5 6 camtu kat log book.. naseb ada lg 0..

the bilik

then they call me first, yay! so biasalah as i read everywhere else bride to be yg pegi hiv test for sure ada general question asked kan, so do kami.. so this is the easy peasy questions:

1) what is HIV, korang jawab jelah HIV is a virus that caused AIDS, takde masa nak cite panjang lebar pun kan.. hehe

2) how isit transmitted to others ni dia akan tanya kita, thru unprotected sex boleh? thru breastfeeding boleh? thru kissing and cuddling boleh? thru transplant boleh? thru saliva boleh? kalau HIV boleh kawin? so jawablah seadanya boleh ke tak

3) kalau anda boleh jawab semua soalan yg ditanya tentang HIV dari definition sampai semualah dia akan kata bravo bravo..
5) dia tanya lagi kawin kali keberapa? sila jawab 1 2 3 atau 4
6) tanya lagi kerja mana? jawab pekerjaan anda
7) then they will cucuk ur middle finger, sikit je cucuk, tak sakit & dia bagi amaran berupa saya cucuk ye cik? kang terus cucuk tetiba ada yg kena tendang, lol..
8) then dia letak darah tu kat test kit itu
9) they will explain the lines, what isit with the appearence of 1 line, 2 lines or no line

10) lastly sila amik gambar kalau mahu, secepat mungkin, takkan dimarahi malah dia pelik kenapakah kau mahu amik gambar benda ini?

the hiv test result

adlie boleh dgr sound saya snap2 dari luar, hehe, masuk sorang2, next adlie, tet failed! failed! dia punya darah berupa dot dot dot dot blogspot, hehe, nape dot dot.. tapiiiii negative okay. we were later asked to send the result to docs room, so that they can prepare the letter and doc will sign, kami duduk kejap

the damage

then nurse tu passed the result mine and adlie, bg ni kat pej agama, jangan bukak pulak envelope ni, yelah cik misi, yahuu boleh kawen sudah, and terus i asked the misi to do cbc test for thalasemia, shes like err err err.. then i insist to do it masa tu gak, bila lagi kot kan, takde masa, cbc test is a complete blood count test..

the tools

in kk they wont do thalasemia test, no appropriate tools available to do one, so they will just perform for you complete blood count test, where from the test ada count for red blood cell, white blood cell, platlet segala so on so fourth and paling penting hemoglobin and mean volume in which will determine whether u could possibly positive with thalasemia.. mcm count for white blood pulak indicate whether u have leukemia, so via cbc boleh tau atleast anything went wrong with you..

the sacrifice

so then nak test kenela poke my arm for a tube of blood pulak..so pegi balik the previous room, amik darah byk2, dah amik darah pegi bagi kat lab, maka the lab pun memprocess..

the makmal

like 10 minute he gave me one sheet with numbers for blood count, so sendiri tgk nampak sihat je aku cakap sama adlie, cewah.. sebok nk tgk hgb n mean vol je sebenarnya, suspen kot kan, semua mcm agak ok, fall under safe side, hemo shouldnt count below than 10, so mine is 14.5g/dl.. but ada but, normal hemo n red blood count mayb a silent carrier of one.. so camne kan.. silalah pergi check ye kawan kawan, penting ini..

the cbc test result

masuk lagi jumpa doc, the doktor u see very the busy, so aku berdiri okay dengar dia cite, satu je dia cakap, u normal, dah dah boleh blah sekarang, menyemak je aku tgk ko ni.. hehe.. tak dia kata u normal, blood count okey sume, u shouldnt worry la, if something unusual ill write to a referal letter to do the extended test.. cos in response if the hgb if its below than 10 they will refer u straight to gh, so aku pun oklah, tak puas ati tanya, so does my partner need to do one? pasal aku je kan yg kena buat, hehe.. kata gila darah.. tak payah if one is ok, then the other one have an option not to do, so alhamdulillah semua okay.. atleast via cbc i am quite sure of my current health.. tak rugi pun bayar rm1 je kan..

so the uncertainty ended there, sumpah aku penah nak buat thalasemia test kat damai, 250 kot, but ofcos tu extended test kot kan, ni just cbc je, so we are done with hiv test and cbc test, oh ya saya je buat cbc adlie takmo.. dia sedikit kejam! oh ye, lupe disclaimer : hiv test cbc test info whatsoever ni accordingly as i am no medical expert.. hehe, sila jangan maki saya..

everything is good there at klinik kesihatan setapak, they dont ask where u stay permanently i mean ur house la at the first place so i assume those who are not from kl pun boleh buat.. kalau mahu buat just pick up a phone please call the clinic u wanna visit first, if they require u to do apt, u do one, if they want u to do walk in apt, do walk in apt, if they ask u to simply walk in for the test, do come early, atleast 15 minutes before..

both test took 1 hour to finish, if only hiv test around 35 mins plus minus sebab busy kot kk tu, then we went makan, fuh i went there poking some blood without breakfast without lunch.. bagus kan..

the makanans

our hiv test are valid until 17th of august, 2 weeks after nikah.. advance okay..
