mayday! ohh a wrong date..

credit to diah cos she brought up the topic last year, and yeah i remember talking to diah, way before her wedding day bout this topic in particular, mari kita mulakan, okay alot of thing will happen masa wedding day and menses is one of it.. some are lucky date kawin time subur, hmm i likeee! haha gatal.. some are not so lucky lucky pasal period due masa wedding day.. so its ohhhhh a wrong date, haha to those belum fix date sila kira date anda period.. hihi.. diah, i share kat sini eh, plus to dytia, she a doc i remember dia ada komen kat entry diah aritu, but malas nak korek arkib diah..

diah, her menses is due on her wedding day, i rasa nikah day kot, and because normally she'll have period pain yang teruk so she's been looking for alternative to either induce or delay the menses.. and masa entry dia tu tetiba teringat because i worked at guardian pharmacy masa tunggu nak buat degree almost 6 months so banyak jugak la belajar on ubat and stuff sesikit buat general knowledge, masa tu yang i remember there is only 1 pill that either guardian or watson carry, pill to delay which is norethisterone/norcolut, then diah survey dia ada jumpa pill yang induce menses dekat independent pharmacy.. caring pharmacy rasanya, and oh ya belum bgtahu why the topic again, sebabnya for my situation, yeah kawan kawan my menses is due on my wedding day infact my nikah day, sama mcm diah.. but i still have 2 cycle to go before the big day so i can monitor la, but normally i have quite a regular one, lewat pun sehari 2, and been tracking the pattern since last year its either cepat or lambat still will fall on that 'big day' week la..and last week ive been doing some research so mari baca..

some of my findings hari tu, watson and guardian does not carry pill to induce your menses, as per pharmacist la, they only carry pill to delay, tu lah norethisterone/norcolut, a hormone pill (the pharmacist at watson told me) at first i asked whether they carry provera untuk induce, then she dia bukak buku said takde kat watson but provera is still in malaysian market, cuma nak cari je not sure where... then i went to guardian just to check, the same pill mmg takde.. delay sahaja ada..

then off we went to independent pharmacy, alpha pharmacy ke ape dekat kepong, near kfc and mcd kepong, masuk dalam luckily pharmacist ada then i just informed her about my menses, expected date and purpose, then she gave me lotsa lotsa info's, takde la just bagi pill without asking q's and giving advises.. lama sangat cerita2, best pulak layan, hehe.. so dah cite2 the stuff she gave to me is 2 tablet of rigev, and 4 tablets of norethisterone, the instruction is to eat 1 tablet of rigev + 2 tablet of norethisterone (at one time) jangan risau tablet is very small.. hehe.. and repeat after 12 hour.. 2 kali makan untuk acara ini and depending on hormone, menses should start within 2 to 3 days, and she said it is best to be taken 10 days or approximately 2 week prior the expected date, since ull need 2 to 3 days for menses to come out then 5-7 days for the period to finish, so 2 weeks if best advised by her..

and yes norethisterone is a pill to delay the menses but taken with regav it will induce ur menses, i did ask about the side effect and she said ada la risk but a low risk as it does not taken continuously, mcm occasionally and it does not alter your period, so meaning from the day u have your period if u have a 28 day or 30 day cycle, normally akan period balik ikut cycle kita, cuma tukar date la, cycle normally tak disturb, meaning takde prolonged delay ke ape pastu,

cara nak beli u have to meet pharmacist la, be honest on ur purpose, and for me mmg aku just bgtau for wedding, and dia akan consult la nanti ape yg suit you, and the price of 6 tablets of regav and norethisterone plus consultation is myr 7..

my last email with diah, i asked for her personal experience lepas her wedding, inilah cerita dari diah, okay she ate the pill 2 weeks prior her wedding day, dosage 3 pills for 3 days, diff from mine, but mind u ada banyak jenis kan pill, then 2 3 hari lepas tu she got her period on, then period mcm biasa, period finish 3 days before her nikah day, and on the day she suppose to get her period (but takdelah since dah induce) diah rasa bit like period pain even takde period, she said maybe tkt sangat or pressure or neves, hihi.. just to give a real experience lah..

hmm i know many of us would have a different feeling/view bout this topic, this is just an info la, especially to those who have period pain, heavy flow or kalau menses due same date rasa mcm inconvenient kan sebab nikah kat masjid ke kan, tak kisah la i just share jek kan, still it depends on ur arrangement and your needs.. and for me myself im not so sure whether im gonna take it or not, but i have the tablets safely with me on a standby basis.. and the pharmacist will keep in touch with me for this 2 months cos i still have 2 cycle before my wedding day.. arini je dia dah call to discuss on the date suppose to eat the pill nanti, so thats it.. hopefully tak perlu makan, tukar jadi waktu subur pun okay but jangan berangan la, hehe..

i know cass ada, my personal nurse (cass tlg certified and correct me pls) and kay kamal, med student soon to be bride to be doctor, sape lagi doc or nurse.. do correct me if im wrong.. :)
