♥ on caterer

again? hehe, im actually writing this pursuant to quiyah's latest entry, tatau mcm mana nak kata lega, lega setelah membacanya because for her reception dia telah menggunakan khidmat mutiara catering and for me, same here!! baru revealkan even maybe some of u dah boleh teka.. rasa sangat lega sebab dia sangat berpuas hati dengan services from mutiara and previously ada terjumpa another b2b blog yang amik mutiara catering tapi sudah tak ingat url dia.. dia pun kata okay and puas hati jugak.. but in the other way around to be fair ofcos la there must be glitch, mishap, technical problem and imperfection on their deliveries but still yang elok mengatasi yang tak elok.. mana ada benda yang perfect right?

as for us, basically we are on strict budget and mutiara mmg bagi package yang menarik, we've booked the dewan package II, 1 pax myr8.80 then add satu lagi lauk sambal udang myr2 per pax and total at myr10.80, sangat berbaloi and fit our budget as well.. insya Allah bab makan ni mmg nak jaga betul2 sebab menjamu org makan..

saya dan adlie tidak menguruskan caterer langsung, solely on opinion and financially, memang ayah berkerja keras disitu, trying to do his best, dia yang menguruskan from a to z, and dia print all the emails from mutiara, update us with those phone calls and i must say as u go further they seriously have the willingess to give and take.. try them, and ull be amazed.. hopefully on my day later they can deliver their best.. pray!!

btw kalau baca entry quiyah, sangat envy dia, she even got a special cake, personalize one, i mean caterer bagi this together with package, dah cukup bagus kan, even u can say like tak cantik ke ape but u know kalau boleh save some money there, mmg rezeki dia.. and cake from mutiara for her mmg cantik and match her theme color, soooo i wanna have 1 too, if allowed la pun.. hehe..

semua org ada taste masing2, budget masing2, even when we said the things are purrfect for us it may not be the same for others.. but sooo far todate, things are good in our direction.. so lets recite alhamdulillah.. :)

♥ 4, favor/berkat

seperti biasalah, kalau kenduri kawin mesti ada favor kan, and kalau cakap pasal favor mmg mcm jenis ada, usually depends pada pengantin la nak bagi apa, bekas mcm mana, tak pun pilihan parents pengantin, hehe.. yelah kadang pengantin nak kawin tapi parents yang pilih.. and yongyana pun ada wrote on this topic.. sila visit :)

for us, untuk reception we gonna give away the typical favor ever iaitu telur, kesamaan saya dan adlie, dari memula lagi dia dah cakap n i was like sama la pulak part ni, kurang minat bagi selain dari telur, no hard feeling tau, sume org ada preference masing2.. and kalau semua kenduri kawin bagi telur pun mcm tak best, better ada variety.. okay when we give telur nanti jangan lupa masak sambal telur or kari telur or beriani telur like kakak besar said to me.. first time dengar beriani telur..

masih pending on bekas and insya Allah favor from us juga takkan memilih nur kasih, hehe, no vvip vip favor whatsoever, yelah mana la tau ada yang terasa hati tak dapat vip favor, sebab biasa tengok benda ni jadi, ada yang famili dapat ada yang famili jugak tapi tak dapat, org dah tanya2 nape tak dapat yang vip favor, kan cantik mestilah org tengok nak kan, kalau bagitau satu famili dapat satu je kang terasa hati, yelah masa kenduri dah tentu2 busy, nak harapkan yang tukang bagi mungkin dia pun tak sure mana vip, mana saudara mara, mana kawan rapat, mana kawan biasa, senang bagi semua sama je... this is what i think la, my personal opinion sahaja.. even adlie pun rasa mcm tu incl his mother and my parents as well, lagipun we are not going to have vips table masa reception, sebab takde famili yang bertandang, dua2 pun kenduri yang sama so semua sama2 je duduk nanti.. insya Allah plan mcm tulah..

btw cantik kan bekas telur seramik ni, sangat suka simple je, tapi nowdays punya simple takde yang murah, simple lah yang mahal, kalau elaborate tak pulak mahal, sudah terbalik, bekas telur ini kat romantika myr3, fixed price even beli 2k bekas ni, then kat kk home deco kalau beli banyak boleh dapat myr2.80, with 1-2 months advise to them, kalau nak engarave nama or mono dlm bekas ni harga myr250 for all orders, ada sapa tau tmpt yg boleh bg lebih murah? nilai murah ke?and for anak anak, we gonna give lollipop, strawberry lollipop from cameron highland, ting! idea dapat masa raya rumah honey gf angah, mak dia bg strawberry lollipop and dia kata ni pure dari cameron, mmg sedap masam manis, and saya tau ayah pasti sukses mendapatkan ini, bestie dia duduk kat cameron so we hope he can help us on that..

untuk nikah nak bagi juga, tapi guest pun tak ramai mana kan, my planning still benda yang boleh dimakan either cookies or muffin, kalau cookies nak tempah kat ina, informed her already, kawan belle jugak kan, hehe, muffin choc gardenia pulak ayah ada contact, haha masa ni lah baru tau ayah banyak contact, boleh dapat staff rate muffin tu, sedap pun sedap, antar ke umah lagi naik lori gardenia katanya.. tengoklah mcm mana, plan mcm tu lah kan, execution tatau la mcm mana..

so far so good.. cant wait to buy some stuff for hantaran.. timing just nice, nak ambil kesempatan on megasale and xmas+new year celebration..

♥ inai..

oh noo, bukan nak pakai panjang ke lengan mcm ni, lukis2 biasa je atas palm and atas tangan, tak mungkin budget artis seperti ini.. :)

gedik tak kalau nak test pakai inai sekarang? the thing is i dunno whether saya nak lukis2 with elaborate deco or just pakai hujung jari jek.. still kalau nanti nak pakai hujung jari pun nak tgk jugak mcm mana rupanya.. tapi kalau buat sekarang nanti org ingat dah kawin, gila kentang sume suspicious kan.. lagi2 kat opis sume chinese, mmg bikin gempak jela nanti sume tanya status terkini bila tengok jari merah jek, haha, jadinya tak payah la kot.. tapi nak.. mcm mana ni?

♥ 3, color

this is about my choice of color, not theme, kerana saya tak ada specific theme lah, rasanya on theme tu campur2 jelah kot, asalkan lawa, okay tiba2 dah dapat theme, theme simple.. hehe, and ada bunga2.. for color i always loved color in pastel group, seldom with bold color.. jom buat color studies..

so for my big day i always wanted purple, pastel purple.. so we both ada 2 event sahaja, nikah and reception, both at different place so boleh deco each of it different color.. yay! but still tak lari mana pun.. i have this combination in mind and adlie has no further comments sebab dia katanya ikut sahaja, baik kan dia, hehe, takde gaduh2 bab color, cuma his humble request he wanted lotsa white, thats not a prob cos white gonna rules during our day.. saya juga sangat suka putih.. kerana saya seorang yang mmg tak suka menyerlah and i dont like heavy attention, hehe.. terbukti masa tunang, i dunno how to handle lotsa attention from ppl, saya telah freaked out! like we discussed lastime kan riena, haha kelakar :)

for nikah, i wanted this pastel combination, yang manis manis lagi, of pure white, purple and soft pink (pink again, hehe)and for wedding, white and purple which can be segregate to lilac and lavender kot.. my inspiration, the suprised bouquet that i received from adlie this year february 14.. but yang ini white dia lil bit on dreamy white, still lawa.. but i wanted putih bersih suci murni.. so for reception white and purple are confirmed as to date, basically will be no changes la cos i dont favor other color sangat.. bila dalam otak dah nak yang tu ofcos warna lain dah tak hirau, hehe.. white and purple, ure both in! yes and yay! and i have reminded my immediate and extended family to wear any shades of purple for my wedding.. belum semua, tapi sudah mula memberitahu..

i try my best to simplify things, im learning that kalau suka why dont i just stick to it and execute, supaya otak tak sakit..

♥ meeting my other half..

backdated 1 hari, always feel bad when he's not around, not because of something not good, but because of the lack of attention from him lately, and i knew for sure what is the reason, hes soo busy, travelling many miles for site meetings, burden with workload resulting with tiredness and such.. totally understood, hes working soo hard so that we have a better life soon, so when we met earlier today i feel great, and soo emo i feel like cying, cos i feel like missing him eventho hes around, how silly is that, hehe..what we did today, pegi makan kat wangsa walk kesukaan saya, makan subway.. yikes, terlupa suruh toast, so microwave sahaja.. adlie dapat la toast, rasa geram but my fault also la tak sedar tgk2 dah tanya nak letak sayur.. as usual mine subway club, adlie with subway melt.. masa makan pun berborak2 mengenai catering, hantaran, honeymoon.. mcm2 lah..
then we went to cold storage, looking for sushi for him but cs disini sangat tak best so sushi pun tgl yang tak best.. then keluar dari utu cs and pau adlie cake, hihi, so i get choc cheeze.. which i ate in a car later, and i know im a bit plumpy nowdays.. masa puasa kuranglah cos selera takde, tapi skrg selera besar.. i dont mind the appetite as long as im healthy, ive been in a state where i dont have appetite to eat at all masa admitted dulu, mcm putus selera dan rasa mcm nak mati dah dan tak nak hidup lagi, jadi bersyukur masih mahu makan..
then dragged him to perfume shoppe, just nak try2, planning by next month sempena xmas atleast sudah beli 2 3 benda for hantaran.. so for me i tried hugo femme, burberry brit sheer and 2 of ck's perfume xingat ape cos i dont favor ck sangat, and sa spray perfume kat tangan, so ada 4 kan, 2 kat wrist left and right hand, then lagi 2 kat lengan.. hehe.. i insist she spray it on the paper, tapi katanya wasted, baik kat tangan.. oklah so diri skrg adalah sangat wangi, adlie try paco rabbane 1 million and one more ape ek.. cant remember, hugo ke? nampak sgt syok diri sendiri jek. for male perfume i always loved dunhill desire red, yes itu scent to bed bagi saya, opss 18sx, haha.. and arber range from body shop juga berbau sama seperti ke katil, ive convinced him to get arber bs walaupun tak begitu last but its my personal favourite, and any perfume still with scent to bed.. untuk saya pula i loved bau yang manis manis so i guess brit sheer can be one of potential perfume.. and i wanna try some more later on before deciding on any for me.. dan tak kisah juga sama ada perfume baru atau lama, kalau suka perlu ke kisah semua tu?

and adlie bring me this specific rambutan, which im craving for ages, ye pokok dah berbuah lama dia masih tak bawa2 juga, sampai dah malas nak merajuk, hari ini baru bawa, and sangat banyak semut... kene tinggal luar dulu esok baru boleh makan.. paklang maklang and along was here for raya haji, sampai disini tengahari.. oh i loved when theyre here with us.. sangat sayang kepada mereka..

♥ 2, caterer

caterer #1

lepas dah book dewan both side decide proceed dengan caterer, yang ni pun ayah banyak surf, tatau nape on caterer solely suh ayah tengok, rasanya dia lebih arif.. so ada 2 caterer yang dishortlisted kan, basicly tengok package, performance diorang, capacity and ofcourse pricing wise.. so 2 caterer ini, satu di ampang, satu di damansara.. so hari ahad kitorang sama2 pegi, me and family except elang, sudah tentu ada adlie & mak.. so first pegi yang kat ampang, dia bukak for food testing pukul 11 ke 1130, kitorang sampai ngam2 jugakla, masa sampai dah ada 2 famili dalam tu, office dia tak berapa besar so mcm terkial2, hehe, kitorang duduk then lama juga tunggu dia serve sebab pic tak ramai, yang uruskan luar ni sorang je, so dia suruh makan..

nak jadikan cerita masa itu saya ada food poisoning, situasi yang sangat teruk, atas bawah nak keluar je, so kitorang pun makan, observe la sume ape yang patut, masa saya mkn tu mmg tak rasa ape, tastebud mcm dah tak berfungsi, so i was depending on family opinions la, dah makan2, rasa2, then masa discuss tu i knew for sure la akan jadi masalah, first thing, her hp was ringging non stop during the discussion, letak je ada call, letak je ada call, and those call came from potential clients, yang tatau jalan nak datang, btw kan boleh buat research dulu, even ayah pun dtg dulu cari tempat so that on the day takla sesat2, adlie pakai gps, atleast la cuba la cari jalan mcm mana nak dtg, ni memanjang call tanya jalan, dari sejauh2 tesco ampang tu dah sesat jalan, cos kalau dari situ dah tatau jalan mmg confirm sesat, sebab caterer ni agak masuk kedalam.. so dah potong stim kat situ, she did say sorry la ofcos.. bukan salah dia pun..

then caterer ni takde package dewan, too bad, dia ada package rumah sahaja, kalau buat kat rumah mmg just nice package dia cos foc dia quite alot, tapi kalau dewan boleh jugak kan, contra everything, bila masa contra ni ada hal jugak, because somehow contra dia tak kene benda, contoh package photographer change dengan red carpet, mcm agak tak make sense disitu, tak payah la cite panjang la kot and the best thing while were discussing nak contra dia cakap kat mak adlie, kami tak makan duit akak kalau kita contra2 ni, masa ni dah pissed off gila, kalau tak boleh submit to our idea just say no lah n this is first discussion belum nak engage ape2, sorry to say la pr very agak bad.. kenapa nak cakap pasal makan duit org, sebab mmg mkn duit org? ntahla..

and then dewan jkr boleh letak maximum 60 table yang 10 seater, tapi caterer ni dia limit to 30 table je, kurang tak apa tapi lebih tak boleh, our plan is we actually would like to utilise the hall up to maximum capacity, bukan apa sebab majlis combine, when it comes to peak hour im not sure whether we can accomodate the guests, bukan peak hour im sure okay, so to be safe nak guna maximum, so at this point of time i knew already i cant deal with this, ye saya dah buat muka sedikit, caterer tak willing to go down to our request so no hard feeling, serious, which caterer im not gonna reveal here, cos this is merely our personal experience due to our nature of arrangement sebab buat kat dewan and so on so fourth and it may be vary to others.. situasi tak sama, and i knew lotsa happy clients settled down with this caterer, saya anggap mungkin dah bukan jodoh dengan caterer ini.. alhamdulillah awal2 ni dah dapat petunjuk, kalau dah letak depo mungkin agak sukar lah nak deal..

still apa yang disukai tentang caterer ini ialah, makan di sana bukan packed away, kalau satu famili datang satu famili la makan, kalau 2 org datang 2 orglah makan..

then we proceed to other caterer, kebetulan dia buat open day, tapi tak open day sangat kot, cos masa kitorang dtg takde la ramai2 pun, kitorang je, and pejabat dia dekat rumah, so terasa agak welcome la disitu, so sampai2 terus discuss, ayah dah dapat full quotation from caterer sebelum tu, so ada gambaran juga lah bila nak berbincang.. yang attend tu lelaki dan sangat baik la dari segi pr, dari segi advise pun bagus, mcm dalam blog caterer itu.. and dia akan dengar dulu dgn sabar apa arrangement kita, apa request kita then dia bgtau apa yang dia boleh buat on that part..

then yang paling penting caterer ni dah 2 3x cater majlis kat dewan jkr, so dari segi arrangement buffet table, meja makan, pengantin table sume boleh serahkan pada di, and then diorang pun tau camne pantry kat dewan jkr so takdelah risau sangat.. sebab maybe akan involve sedikit masak memasak kat sana for this one menu and sangat heart their glass setting, glass setting in a way, pinggan cawan kaca, barrel air kaca, then bekas nasi mcm kat hotel tu, so nampak proper.. and on tables sume up to us either nak max 60, 50, 40.. so oklah disitu.. sebab previous majlis kat dewan jkr yang diorang cater i think their arrangement is maximum 60 on tables, rasanyalah kalau tak salah..

and yang paling seronok la as customer when they willing to give and take, cos majlis combine, tapi combine pun taklah ramai sangat sampai beribu2 lemon, hehe, so ada benda yang dia boleh bagi free, ada benda yang dia boleh beri discount, ada benda yang dia tak penah buat then dia try buat, serious mmg boleh dibawa berbincang..

even dengan caterer ni seems okay, looks okay, sounds okay, but its just a beginning, a proper credit/complaints will come out soon after the wedding but so far so good.. alhamdullilah, cos we only have 2 caterer that we've shortlisted, in any way both pun screwed up mana lagi nak cari.. :)

one thing sikit la, as informed to him majlis ni combine (again), and for food testing they gave cuma 1 set take away, then ayah yang mintak satu lagi, cos we going back to different house la kan me and adlie, takkan aku je nak rasa, what about adlie's famili kan, then bagi satu pun actually tak cukup, at least i want mak, ayah and meself rasa.. no picture taken sebab semakin sakit, hmm.. should ask them to give us 2 sets lagi whenever we are nearby their place soon.. after all dah book kan? ya, nak mintak nanti.. and masa tu pun i did not taste their food pun, sebab balik terus kejar bilik air, pastu dah mengigil2, then lelap jap..

then i need to meet up adlie again later in the evening sebab nak jumpa tenant bagi tenancy agreement, masa ni dah pucat2, masa adlie dah almost half way fetching me i feel like telling him to patah balik sebab mcm tak larat, then kesian pulak dia pegi sorang, so siap2 jugalah.. then sampai kat hot spring dah mula hujan lebat selebatnya, dan kilat kuat, so tau kan saya ialah phobia kepada hujan lebat dan kilat yang meletup2, so the only choice meet up kat clubhouse sekankang kera tu, and they came hubby and wifey, so keluar jugak la dari keta, walaupun rasa nak pengsan sebab kilat meletup2 kuat sana sini.. org tak tutup telinga aku duk la tutup beria2.. so they took the agreement to mati setem and later pass to us back when we pass to them the key.. with this sudah ada org sewa rumah, lega sangat, cuma sebulan sahaja myr0, and to bear the installment kalau takde org sewa mmg sangat burden especially when your money sume blowing to the wed preparations..

masa ni hujan lebat gila, and later tak berapa hari ada tanah runtuh, kalau perasan la, tapi involved amansiera side, but still just across the templer rawang highway, clear shot from our master bedroom balcony, scary ya, cos very near to the tanah runtuh tu ada rumah... yang masih belum org duduk, rasanya area tu belum official lagi ada org duduk..

so sudah selasai we went to curve makan kenny rogers, parking susah, sudah give up sebab dah petang, we seldom went there petang2, salu pagi thari dah ada kat sana.. and get my fav cuppcake tu lah.. then balik.. then selesai semuanya pulang.. itulah dia experience berjumpa cuma 2 caterer, pada hari diri ini tidak sihat, kalau 5 6 caterer tataula mcm mana ragamnya kan, so the next day tu we have booked the second caterer.. and the following following phone calls to discuss on add-ons and stuffs kedengaran bagus.. mintak2 dapat bodek lagi, soooo now we have to finalise things ape2 sume la nak add on ke ape and get a rough quotation from them so that we have a clearer picture on the budgetsssss side.. :) my expectation to them takde la that very high above the sky with the birds flying happily, tiba tiba? its just that i hope they can deliver their best la as per prior discussion.. insya Allah... bukanlah perfectionist cuma berharap semua berjalan dengan lancar, adat menjamu orang, mestilah kita nak yang terbaik..

caterer juga sudah booked, so far kami berdua adalah yang terpaling awal booked mereka for august 2010, pending add-ons and final quotation..

♥ 1, venue

new topic in the house, hehe.. habis jugak entry yang banyak tu, lega.. and i should start with my wedding preparation kan, actually dah start right after engagement, its just that i still havent finish all the engagement entries so pending for this, ada banyak kejutan, even diri sendiri pun terkejut, lain yang plan lain yang jadi. ok facts on my wedding :

1. both of us planned for our wedding to be held in 1 year time, sharp. so october 2010 lah tapi ayah request awal sebab venue ada problem october onwards. so discuss dengan adlie and mak. they agreed on that. so date diawalkan 2 bulan.
2. before the formal discussion on engagement day, my family especially mak insist to have a separate reception. like usual kenduri, ada bertandang sume. then on the day i heard ayah said 'if anak anak nak JV then he said he's okay with it'. so the day after ayah kata nak combine reception. maknanya sekali harung belah perempuan dan belah lelaki. tak bincang sangat sebab mmg belah adlie nak combine kalau boleh so both side agreed.
3. i love the idea of having 1Reception only. dah macam 1Malaysia pulak, hehe. serious serious. interms of cost insya Allah banyak boleh save. kalau tak pun we can spend more on any details mcm foods, pelamin, baju ke. pastu apa lagi boleh terus pg honeymoon je, yay!
4. as per earlier discussion both date sudah confirm, nikah will be on 31st july 2010 and reception on 1st august 2010. from after raya jadi sebelum puasa and raya. nervous.
5. untuk tema dan sebagainya, i dont think we have a specific one. color yes ada, tema tu campur2 sahaja. yang penting cantik dan comel dan manis. seperti biasa. hehe.
6. the most important things of all, ini mesti beritahu, sangat sangat menghargai sekiranya semua org, saudara mara, sahabat handai, do not expect too much on our big day. semuanya akan lebih kepada simplicity, practical and easy on our budget. saya mahu selamat dinikahkan dengan yang tersayang. itu yang paling penting. on celebration insya Allah we'll try to execute the best out of it.

shall we continue? venue-wise sebab 1 reception sahaja jadi please scrol for details, hehe.. we're looking for MPH = multi purpose hall, sebab memang ada budget untuk venue sebegitu sahaja.. as long as it can accomodate both sides guest, under budget, strategic location and bla bla bla then it should be fine for both side..our first pit stop, ialah frim, dewan ni adlie dah book untuk 10.10.2010 untuk majlis bertandang, on a very nice date.. masa lepas dah discuss nak buat 1 reception tapi venue belum decide lg, so pegi tgk dewan ni, cos katanya boleh muat cuma 400-500, jadinya mmg dewan ni more suitable for majlis bertandang, as our earlier plan and rumah adlie pun sangat2 dekat dgn frim.. bila masuk mmg agak petite ruang dia, sangat2 dissapointed cos i wanted soooo much that our majlis bertandang will be held here, not because i can get easy access for outdoor photoshot, hehe.. that is 1 thing la tapi this is one of the place that we went during our very first date.. date kat frim okay to the green side of it, after makan and movie kat ou.. what a first date.. so sangat ada sentimental value for us.. but unfortunately due to the small capacity we have to let it go.. imagine kalau buat kat sini, guest boleh jalan2 kat dlm ni amik2 gambar, lepak2.. saya sudah heart broken.. dulu arwah kaklong keje frim so we have frim sticker so masuk pun free je, jalan2 naik keta bukak tingkap luas2.. best gila and with family pun salu pegi sini, jogging2 then panjat bukit frim.. so tau jela kan how much i wanted the day to be held here.. tak ada rezeki.. sesudah ke frim we went to jalan sultan salahuddin, ke kementerian kerja raya to be exact, ayah saya berkhidmat dengan jkr, so dia suggest buat kat dewan ini, anak2 kawan dia pun dah 2 3 org kawin sini, so senang nak dapat floor plan and dapat staff rate, lagipun so far dewan ini sesuai, kerana kapasiti lebih besar dan pakej yang lebih menarik, ok sewa dewan ini ialah myr1000 staff rate inclusive of kerusi bankuet, meja 10 seater, aircond, pa system, surau, vip room and pantry. jadi bgtau adlie, then he discussed with mak then they agreed with this choice.. so dah BOOKED dewan ini for 1st august 2010. oh ya, masalah dewan ni dia cuma available sehingga september 2010, after september they will be a change in the management so current management advise us not to wait, mungkin management lain tu dah taknak sewa kepada public, its not confirm yet as todate but we cant take the risk.. and todate rasanya mcm every week ayah pegi dewan jkr, semangat ya dia tgk kenduri kawin and amik gambar, each and every kenduri semua lain2 floor plan, but im in love with one of the wedding, simple sangat tapi cantik, nanti saya share okay on the details, and ada sekali tu both side pegi tgk real wedding held there sampai tuan rumah ajak makan kenduri even dah cakap cuma nak tgk2 je.. tuan rumah yang baik hati walaupun tak kenal..
